Different Worlds

“There's so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones.”

- Dire Straits

—————————

Although we all wake up each day in the same physical world on planet Earth, every person inhabits their own unique reality, formed by their environment, life experiences, and interactions with those around them.

While one person may be living in Heaven on Earth, another person may be living in Hell. And many people live in their own Purgatory, feeling stuck in a place of waiting and hoping for a better future yet to come.

Even throughout the course of our own lives, we may often shift between any of these states ourselves; from at times feeling pure joy, to other times feeling deep pain, and often, just simply getting through each day, feeling separate from true peace but not so separate that we lose hope.

Every person experiences their own trials as well as their own triumphs. Some individuals have faced hardships that others could hardly imagine, while others have known greater success and ease. These experiences shape the beliefs and preconceived notions that we carry about the world and about each other.

While certain people are open to evolving their mindset and ways of thinking, others may be stuck (or choose to stick with) the ones that they’ve already formed.

So, although we still exist in one physical world together, our varied inner realities often make it seem as though we all live in vastly different ones.

Built upon the principle that the mind constructs reality, the publication examines how shifting our internal lens invites a deeper awareness of reality and reframes how we experience the world.
